Gear Profile Measurement Based on Thin Line Structured Light

Abstract In order to achieve the high precision 3D measurement of gear tooth profile, a telecentric optical system with large FOV (field view), WD (working distance) and measuring range was proposed, applied profile experiment obtained good effect. Firstly, composition principle were introduced. The lights projection imaging an angle 45° from normal line measured surface can reduce requirement DOF (depth field) objective lens. Secondly, in combine application background small modulus measurement, magnification, NA (numerical aperture) other parameters calculated, constructed performance are listed. Then, calibration model demonstrated calibrations depth pixel resolution horizontal completed through experiments. Finally, involute artifact 2.9992mm total deviation 1.1μm measured. results show that is about 2μm, which consistent curve artifact.
